Hope Lutheran Preschool is a Christian school whose main purpose is to encourage children to express themselves creatively, socialize using the Christian example and to promote the child's developmental growth in a literacy-rich classroom.
Hope Preschool is dedicated to the physical, mental and spiritual growth of children. Striving to equip children with the necessary tools to face daily challenges and creating an environment to enhance healthy, growing children are of utmost importance at Hope Preschool. This is implemented by using Jesus as our example and encouraging children by means of stories, songs and prayers, and the teaching, by word and example, of caring and sharing through learning and playtime experiences. It is through these means that Hope Preschool will consistently strive to teach children to accept each other and learn to live in harmony with all people.
Our teacher and director, Kathryn Ryan, has a degree in Education and is licensed by the state of Wisconsin. Her main concern is for the children. Each child is unique and will grow and progress at his/her own rate. We offer opportunities that will encourage social, emotional and mental development.
Hope Lutheran Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs and activies generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies and other school-administered programs.
Hope Preschool follows the confidentiality and Child Abuse Neglect Laws found on pages 9-10 in the Wisconsin Code Book. THe code book is kept on the teacher's desk for anyone to view at any time.
Application is made by contacting Kathryn Ryan at 836-7827 or by calling the church office at 832-1414 indicating an interest in enrollment. Eligible children must be 3 or 4 years old by Sept. 1st and must be toilet trained. Classes are filled on a first come, first serve basis.
All students must have an enrollment form on file with the parents' signature. Please notify us immediately if there are any changes of address or telephone numbers.
There is a registration fee of $30 for the two-day program and $35 for the three-day program at the time of enrollment. This fee is non-refundable after June 1st.
Tuition for our various programs is as follows:
| 4-5 year olds | Monday/Wednesday/Friday | 9-11:30 a.m. OR |
| $35 registration | 12:30-3:00 p.m. | |
| $630 per year ($70/month x 9) | ||
| 3-4 year olds | Tuesday/Thursday | 9-11:00 a.m. |
| $30 registration | ||
| $432 per year ($48/month x 9) | ||
For your convenience, the above yearly fee has been divided into nine equal monthly payments. You may choose to pay it all at once or monthly. The first payment will be collected the night of orientation and thereafter it is due the first of each month, October-May. If tuition is two weeks past due, a notice will be sent. If it is not paid within the next week, a second notice will be sent. If payment is not received within another week, enrollment will be terminated. Tuition should be placed in an envelope and deposited in "Tuition Box". Lutheran Brotherhood Scholarships are available for families with financial need.
Hope Lutheran Preschool has the same vacations as the Eau Claire Public Schools for Kindergarten-5th Grade. You will receive a school year calendar at orientation.
Cancellations also follow those of the Eau Claire PUblic Schools and will be announced on all the local radio stations when weather conditions are bad. Late starts due to weather or road conditions will cancel morning preschool.
All children are required to have a medical examination and health form with a doctor's signature. The immunization sheet and the health history sheet are completed and signed by the parent. These forms are due the first day of school.
If your child needs any medication during school hours, your written consent and instructions are needed.
Please do not send your sick child to school. Contact the secretary at 832-1414 between 8-9 a.m. or between 11:30a.m.-12:30 p.m. if your child will not be present.
A child with flu, fever of 100 degrees or more, rash, vomiting, diarrhea, sore throat or secretions from the nose and eyes should be kept at home. If your child becomes ill during class or the teacher feels the child is potentially contagious, they will be isolated until they are taken home by their parents.
Parents are welcome to join in a day of Preschool anytime and without an appointment. Doors will be open between 8:52 a.m. and 8:55 a.m. or 12:22 and 12:25 p.m. This is the teacher's greeting time for your child. If you need to talk to the teacher, please call her at home in the evening at 836-7827. If you need to communicate and it can be done via a note, please deposit the note in the box labeled "Tuition Box" at the entrace to the Preschool. The teacher will check the box daily.
