Hope Lutheran has many opportunities for parishoners to lend a helping hand to our community.

Pastoral Partners

Pastoral Partners is a unique way for members of Hope to be involved in the community. The lay people in this group are specially trained for this mission. They visit the homebound and those in nursing homes, keeping in contact with their family of faith. The Pastoral Partners meet monthly and also receive on-going training. If you know of anyone who needs pastoral care, please call the church office at 832-1414.

Interfaith Hospitality Network

Hope Lutheran is an active participant in the Interfaith Hospitality Network, which provides food, shelter and counseling for homeless families in the Eau Claire area. Hope frequently shares duties with St. Olaf Catholic Church. Members of the congregation sign up to cook meals, serve meals and act as hosts for these families. Through the network, families are assisted in finding housing and jobs. This is a very rewarding experience for everyone involved.

Community Table

Hope's parishoners also volunteer their time helping out at the Community Table, a local organization that feeds people in need. These volunteers serve meals one Wednesday a month.

Food Drives

Hope Lutheran routinely holds "Load a Truck" Sundays to help stock the shelves of the local food pantry.

Sunday School Mission

Each year the Board of Education selects a mission to receive Sunday School offerings. This year the money is going to the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic to help support their services for people without adequate health care. In addition, Sunday School children bring in items each month to further the mission (for example, this year we're assembling first aid kits).

Habitat for Humanity

Hope Lutheran has signed a covenant with Habitat for Humanity, pledging to assist this vital ministry through volunteers and prayers.
