Matching Funds for Relief Thrivent Financial for Lutherans members who want to make a financial contribution to support disaster response efforts in Haiti can have their donations to one of four Lutheran relief agencies multiplied by the fraternal benefit society. To participate, visit www.thrivent.com/helpinghaiti and make a contribution to one of the following: Lutheran World Relief, ELCA Disaster Response, LCMS World Relief/Human Care, WELS Committee on Relief. Thrivent Financial will add $1 to every $2 its members donate, up to a total Thrivent Financial contribution of $1 million. That means a potential of $3 million or more to support relief efforts: $2 million + from its members and $1 million added by Thrivent Financial. Job Transition Strategies Workshop When: Sunday, March 14th
2:00-4:00pm When it comes to a job transition, it's important to think beyond your resume and job search activities. Job transition strategies is a 90 minute workshop and networking opportunity that can help you recharge emotionally. During the workshop, you'll gain information and tools to help you: Remain Positive Make connections with others Experience a more positive job transition The workshop will be presented by Thrivent Financial representative FR Allen Mazuk.

Calling all Artists! The Eau Claire Area Art League is hosting its 5th Annual "Spring Art Tour in the Churches" and our church is again one of the churches on the tour. If you have an artistic hobby such as painting, fabric art, photography, woodworking, jewelry, pottery, etc., please join us in showing your work. Art league members will display their work in five churches on the tour, along with the art work of members of that church. You may choose to sell your work or just have it on display for others to enjoy. There is a registration form to fill out and an entry fee of $10.00. The tour is scheduled for May 1-2, 2010, Saturday from 9-4, and Sunday from noon to 4:00pm. Please contact Alice Anderson, 838-0507 if you are interested or have any questions.
